Bausch + Lomb INFUSE Contact Lens Review

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

Are you interested in a daily disposable contact lens that incorporates the most up-to-date expert knowledge on dry eye disease?

Would you like to explore a contact lens that offers effortless handling, exceptional comfort, and long-lasting clear vision throughout the day?

If so, you should strongly consider trying Bausch + Lomb’s INFUSE contact lens!

Below is the complete Bausch + Lomb INFUSE contact lens review.

Infused with ProBalance Technology

INFUSE contact lens was first released in the United States in 2020.

What makes this lens unique is how Bausch + Lomb designed and brought it to market. To develop its proprietary ProBalance Technology, Bausch + Lomb took information from the latest expert industry report on dry eye disease (Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society DEWS II report) and infused select ingredients into the contact lens.

ProBalance Technology contains osmoprotectants (erythritol and glycerin) and electrolytes (potassium) that help maintain the balance of the front of the eye (ocular surface homeostasis).

It also includes moisturizers (poloxamine 1107 and poloxamer 181) that help retain hydration and provide a smooth, wettable lens surface.

A next-generation silicone hydrogel material

Unlike other daily lenses on the market, INFUSE contact lenses feature a brand-new lens material (kalifilcon A). This next-generation material is designed with a:

  • High water content for improved comfort.

  • Low modulus to reduce the impact of the lens on the front of the eye.

  • High oxygen transmissibility keeps the eyes healthy and white.

Powers, availability, and more

INFUSE contact lenses have been designed with a single base curve and width to accommodate a wide range of contact lens wearers.

They are available in a comprehensive range of powers, spanning from -12.00 to +6.00. These lenses are further enhanced with a gentle light blue tint, aiding in easy insertion and removal.

Upon receiving a fitting from your eye care professional, you will be provided with a trial box containing 10 contact lenses for each eye. Once your prescription is finalized, you can choose between 30 and 90 packs of INFUSE contact lenses.

It's important to emphasize that these lenses are specifically intended for daily wear and should be disposed of at the end of each day. As indicated in the name, they are not approved for overnight use and should not be worn while sleeping.

Note: If you plan on taking your daily contact lenses out for a nap or to go swimming, we recommend storing them in Biotrue contact lens solution.
